Anand movie review: A musically rich tear jerker
Cast: Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan
Dr. Bhasker is a cynical man disillusioned by his profession. Anand is his new terminally ill patient, who inspire of his illness wants to live his last days to the fullest. Bhaskar is surprised to see that this diagnosis doesn’t damper Anand's spirits.
During the next three months Anand and Bhaskar become inseparable friends. Bhaskar documents the last days of his friend and how he turned his world upside down . Rajesh Khanna keeps you hooked from the moment he enters the doctor’s office like a whirlwind. To songs like “ Zindagi kaisi paheli hai”, when we get a glimpse of the sad dying man behind the omnipresent smile. Bachchan and Khanna's chemistry is friendship goals. Gulzar's lyrics convey all the feelings that Anand keeps buried. Killer combination of cinematography, writing, music and acting make this one of the must watch films.
