Background:

Romantic Homicide is a song by the artist d4vd, who became famous thanks to the Internet. The song was already viral on TikTok and other social media, but the official video was released on September 7, 2022. The lyrics are short but seem to have deep meanings.

Meaningful Lyrics:

In the back of my mind

You died

And I didn't even cry

No, not a single tear

And I'm sick of waiting patiently

For someone that won't even arrive

In the back of my mind

I killed you

And I didn't even regret it

I can't believe I said it

But it's true

I hate you

There are many different ways to think of this, One way to look at it is from the perspective of you leaving your old self in the past creating a new better version of yourself . or it also can also be taken as getting over an ex you’ve been trying to get over until eventually you just stop thinking about the ex. D4vid points out in his interviews saying that this is why he likes to think of his music as poetry because poetry can also have  many different interpretations.

Overall Review:

In my opinion this is a very meaningful song that I can personally relate to. When I first started listening to it I wasn't really feeling it until I actually started to listen and realized it's  a great song. Whenever you need a good song to get in your feels to this is definitely one you should play.

I liked the way you interpreted the lyrics. This song is so beautiful and it can mean so many different things.
