Renowned Nigerian record producer Tochi Bright Clement, previously recognized by the moniker Skopy Lonky, has formally transitioned to the stage name Kourage Beatz NSI.

The burgeoning afro-fusion producer conveyed this alteration via his official Twitter handle, specifying that his new identity would be articulated as ‘Courage Beats N S I’.

In an announcement video released on Thursday evening, he elucidated that the name change was prompted by frequent misidentification with the artist Skopy Lonk.

“It's no longer ‘Skopy Lonky’. Address me as ‘Courage Beats N S I’ stylized as 'Kourage Beatz NSI',” the declaration conveyed.

Esteemed for his contributions as a songwriter and producer, Kourage Beatz NSI stands as a highly sought-after talent in the realm of music production. Noteworthy among his repertoire are compositions such as ‘ASAP’ by Shallipopi from the album 'Shakespopi', ‘Kolo’ by Johnel, and ‘Bad Single '97’ by Bnxn.

Initially affiliated with ONErpm in 2021, he opted against contract renewal upon its expiration in 2022. Subsequently, he established his own record label, formerly recognized as 'NSI RECORDS' and now operating under the appellation 'NSI Nation', in collaboration with ONErpm.

Kourage Beatz NSI boasts collaborations with a multitude of distinguished artists, including Bnxn, Shallipopi, and Johnel NG, highlighting his prominent stature within the industry.

Note: Why Kourage was still under the name Skopy Lonky, he won award for Best Sound Recording at the Top Naija Music Awards, joining the likes of B-Red, Tekno, Adekunle Gold, Falz to win the award.
