When I was six I went to my cousin's house for Christmas. They said I could watch a big kid show and it was called Regular Show. I thought they were messing with me and made up the name of the show but that is the actual name of it. I have often watched this show, and it is anything but regular. Regular Show is a great TV show for six-year-olds and up. The people that developed the show and produced worked extremely hard.

The characters in this show are outstanding. The amount of time building up their personalities is amazing. The main characters are a Blue Jay and a Raccoon. They are two real coach potatoes always slacking off. One of the characters calls them “Slackers”. That sounds weird but it works for this show. There are flashbacks for these main characters and other characters too. The main characters extend their relationships with more people, making many new and fun people. There are 1,445 characters in this show which shows how much effort was put in. It is hard to only like one person in it because none of them are perfect and all have challenges. Some characters are even played by the same voice actors. It is difficult to change a person's voice that much but they make it work great. Almost all of the characters are based on real-life animals into characters: moles, goats, apes, and even beavers. They even make inanimate objects into characters: gumball machines, clouds, and vehicles. The characters are awesome but the setting brings them to life.
The majority of the story takes place at a park. The animators do an excellent job of making the characters have life outside the park. Some live in the park and some don’t. They do a lot inside of the park because there is so much to do there and mysteries to solve. This is a very big park so they can add new buildings or other things. Inside the main house is very interesting and cool. There are multiple rooms and new gadgets that the characters interact with.  If all of the characters were in grass with no sky or other terrain things to complement them. It wouldn’t be the great show it is. The setting wouldn’t be great if it wasn't for the great animation.
In the first season of the show, it is a little more sketchy. By that, I mean that the animation was drawn completely by hand. I personally liked the way it looked. It is something new that not many other TV shows haven’t done. It also takes a lot more time and effort so I believe that is the reason they switched to digital animation.  The hand-painted sky or the beginning of the show where it introduces the director and the episode’s name. It is a beautiful hand-painted picture. It looks like a different world and has so much detail. Most of the battle scenes are at night and expose how beautiful the sky is. The graphics change over time and so does the audience.
The episode and audience changes are a good thing. If a show was just the same jokes all the time and didn’t switch up the style a little no one would watch it. There is fantasy, adventure, comedy, action, drama, etc. It changes the audience slightly by starting more comedic and getting more adventurous. There is a great deal of both though so there isn’t a lack of either one. The episodes are usually around 11 minutes long so it wouldn’t take up too much time to just try it out. The changes in this show really bring excitement and bring more variety to everything that happens later on.
In conclusion, this is a great PG show that just about anyone would like. When I was six years old I watched the Regular Show for the first time. This inspired me to watch it with my 6-year-old cousin. He loves the show and won’t stop watching it now. It is PG but yet, even my dad watches the show. The people that made this show worked extremely hard so take a chance on it like I did.
