Going to Chicago MAG
As I walk around the ice-covered corner,
An incrediblewind overpowers my body.
Its coldness makes me shiver,
But as soon as it isgone, I warm up again.
I look around me in this concrete jungle,
I seenothing but titanic buildings and lifeless life.
I cannot find a hint ofgreen,
Except for a woman's fluorescent coat and the painted curb that reads,
"Passenger Loading ONLY."
As I walk down the street, I makeabsolutely no eye contact,
Fearing who I am looking at, and fearing what theywould do.
No one seems friendly in my new city, perhaps because I am not
usedto it,
But for once in my life I think that the old is better than thenew.
I wish that I were in my old home, my old city, my old life,
And Iwish that I had never come to this miserable place.
But everything will workout in the end,
And as soon as the wind hits me around the next corner, I willwarm up again.
