What the Flag Means to Me
The American Flag represents opportunity, possibilities, and chances. America is considered the land of opportunity because of a vision and a drive that people get when thinking of this prospering land.
There are many stories of the arisal of opportunities that America has to offer. Sofia Vergara, a Colombian actress, moved to America in 1989, where her acting career started to excel. She now stars on Modern Family and has never seen so much success.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, born in Austria, immigrated to the United States in 1968 and rose to fame. After moving to the United States, he became a thriving actor and in 2003 became the Governor of California.
Dave Matthews was born in South Africa, moved to America, started the Dave Matthews Band, and made $60.4 million dollars in the last year.
America is the land of opportunity. After coming to America, people experience success that they may never have had in other countries. This is what the flag represents.
Millions of people left their home countries to come to the United States of America. These people wanted better jobs, a better economy, and a better life. This is what the flag represents.
A vision of innovation, a vision of opportunities, and a vision of possibilities--and that is what the flag represents.
