I no longer know,
What sleeping in on weekends is
Swaddled in 2 velvety blankets
Sun shines onto my glowy face
Woken up to a smell of syrupy pancakes
An abrupt alarm howls into my drowsy ear,
I am greeted with darkness
Throwing on the dull uniform,
I go about the route down the street,
Up the hill, down the hill,
Across the parking lot,
Over the busy road
My black non slip shoes dash through
Burnt orange slippery tiles,
A headset tossed onto my head
“Hello, Welcome to Mcdonalds!
Would you like to try our new
Chicken McGriddle today?”
Naturally slipped my tongue,
As if its been rehearsed a million times
After the double
BEEP BEEP
I gaze out the stained window,
My high school insight
The perky cheerleaders park their cars
As they prance in with their heavy bags
I wish I was one of them
BEEP BEEP
“Hello, Welcome to Mcdonalds!
Would you like to try our…”
