Luxury Watch
Life is a lot like a luxury watch;
At first it seems worth the cost
But over time, with wear and tear,
All of the value is lost
There is one difference between these two,
Between the watch and life
The watch might break, your heart may too,
But there is glory beyond the strife

Inspired by my rapidly-deteriorating Armani watch, this poem compares life to an item of luxury that has lost its value over time. Staying true to the theme of the Spring Collection, it is tinged with hues of hope for what is to come, the “glory beyond the strife.”
(A message for watch-collectors, and enthusiasts: Don’t try to fix a watch yourself, if you don’t have the skill, tools, and precision necessary to. Replacing the battery yourself is easy, and a lot cheaper than going to a store, but beyond that don’t tinker with it.)
