Written as a Diamante, this poem represents the polar opposites that reside within our Human Nature. Our history is built on war and peace, with each one adding to our ever-growing history. As a species, we can be extremely violent and we can inflict immense amounts of pain on ourselves and our environments. We also possess the ability for peace, to flourish as a society, and to grow together, united as one.
