The lights go up
The curtain is drawn
The music plays softly
As everything goes on
And we stand in nervous waiting
For the last show to begin
The music dies, and the voices begin
As the acts unravel
The scenes begin to end
The music plays its final notes
Everyone knows as the curtain
Starts to close
The end is here at last
No one wants to move
And they stand upon the stage
Wishing today was yesterday
The lights go out
People leave
But I stand here
In the mist of memories
That you gave me
