My Friends
Giggling instead of napping,
wild antics on the playground.
Still together through it all.
Partners in crime since day care.
Playing Harry Potter scene it,
Laughing until we can’t breathe.
Comparing our favorite books,
And being hungry for Stacy’s corn.
Chanting “Go Coby!” in the hallway.
Laughing at each other’s failed moose impressions.
We had a bumpy road together but we’re still,
Two awkward souls that became the best of friends.
Trying to stifle laughter in confirmation,
Praising “The Holy Rainbow of Colored Pencils.”
At first we were team mates,
But we became fast friends.
