My Dog Lucky
Being just a dog she can't talk
But she can listen
Smiling as i ran my mouth
Looking at me in acknowledgement
Never gave me a reason to be mad
Cheered me up on those days
Someone to hug and comfort
Having someone there
Never picturing life without her
It all changes
Listening to those words of one man
Everything shrinked into nothing
Trying not to cry
But a tiny tear sheds
Writing that goodbye letter
Tears creating a small puddle
Driving to her
Seeing her there on the linolium floor
"I love her, I don't want to let her go."
I cried on her small chest
Hugging her for the last time
I kissed her
I smilied at her as she would me
And she was gone
A best friend that will never be replaced
