Christmas Eve
Today will be a beautiful winter day,
Only one whole day until Santa comes.
There is ice lining the driveway,
And Christmas hymns are flowing thru my eardrums.
The morning isn’t bright when it is snowing.
But, the day is illuminated by strung lights on houses down the streets.
When everyone’s tummies start gurgling,
We know its time to find Nana and make some treats.
Our day is always filled with games and fun.
In the afternoon we make all sorts of cookies
But, before we lay our heads down and our day is done,
We lay out Santa’s treats and goodies.
At the end of the day we go to bed in our pj’s, long-sleeve,
Goodnight Christmas Eve.
